UPCOMING SAFARIS: Next open group for Vic Falls-Hwange safari will run in June 2018.

ITINERARY

Arrival day: Welcome to Mosi-oa-tunya, the smoke that thunders!

Welcome to Zimbabwe and Victoria Falls which is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and UNESCO World Heritage Site! We will meet in the Lokothula Lodges (or similar alternative), where you will be accommodated. Lokuthula Lodges’ facilities include a swimming pool, restaurant and a pool-side bar. After settling in you will have a welcome dinner and pre-trip briefing with your guide Farayi.

Day 1: Full-day Victoria Falls tour and craft markets

After breakfast it’s time to visit the Victoria Falls. Your guide Farayi will take you for an exclusive tour of the Victoria Falls. After exploring the Falls we will enjoy lunch, and in the afternoon Farayi will show you around the town and you will have a chance to do some shopping in the local craft market or just to relax if you wish.

In the evening we’ll return to your accommodation where Farayi will prepare dinner. Tonight it’s time to be cosy, to enjoy good food, and let the Southern sky inspire stories for the night.

Day 2: Day of action or relaxation

Today you have free time to try out several activities offered in Victoria Falls for example the lion walk, canoeing or rafting, helicopter rides or bungee jumping.  You will get more information about all activities offered when booking. Additionally you may just take time to relax and pack. In the evening it’s time to have dinner at Zambezi Lodge or Ilala Palm Lodge.

Day 3: Safari adventure starts

Today we pack our bags and head towards Hwange National Park after breakfast. On the way we will stop and explore the painted hunting dogs’ conservation centre.  Painted hunting dogs are endangered species but in Hwange we may see them if we are lucky. We will enjoy a picnic lunch outside the centre. On our way towards our accommodation in the main camp we may see some animals. On arrival you will be accommodated in chalets. Tonight we enjoy the dinner in the campsite restaurant.

Days 4&5: Two full-days in nature enjoying the wildlife

Lions and elephants have been very successful in Hwange National Park. Also rare bat-eard fox is living in the park area. Hwange National Park is also well-known of the viewing platforms placed in front of the watering holes where animals come to drink. This means that you have the opportunity to see the animals from a short distance and not just through a vehicle window which gives a great opportunity to photographers. We will have two full-day safaris: a morning game drive and an afternoon game drive, and an optional evening drive.

For these three days we will have a morning game drive and an afternoon game drive, and an optional evening drive. After the game drives there’s time to discuss about the day’s experiences and relax by the fire after dinner.

Day 6: Back to Vic Falls and free time

After breakfast we start our way back to Victoria Falls. After settling in to our accommodation you will have free time until dinner. We enjoy a nice dinner together in a restaurant.

Day 7: Time to say goodbye

The tour finishes after we have enjoyed an early breakfast together for the last time. Time to say good bye to Zimbabwe – hope to meet you next time!
